As I sit here listening to my self loathing Marilyn Manson songs, I wonder, like any other confused girl, what do guys really want?!
We give them love and affection yet we get the cold treatment in return! Why!? Are doing it wrong, or are we as complicated as men claim!!
The answer is, brace yourselves ladies, we are complicated! I'm a women and I admit it!!
Men are simple creatures, they don't over analyze like we do! Women tend to complicate things, we let our insecurities get to us, when the matter of the fact is it's not as complicated as we think it is or as we make it!!
When we women want something we tend to go back and forth and in circles instead of getting to the point, heck I admit it I've done that a million times! Want something from your man, ASK FOR IT! Don't drop hints they wont and never will get it!! If you do and he still doesn't he's a scumbag jerk!
We sometimes treat the men in our lives like our girlfriends! Men don't give a shit if you got in a fight with one of your friends because that bitch ended up being a copy cat.. Men don't care about the details of the horrendous fight you got with that so called copy cat, unless of course it involved a cat fight!! In which I'm sure he'll be sitting back and playing the whole thing in his mind, if you know what I mean!!
But, the thing that men don't get we sometimes want to vent, we want someone to listen to us, we don't want a salutation we want someone to simply listen! If we want advice we would ask for it! That's why guys think we are high maintenance, which we actually are.
I get it men get pissed and sometimes need some space and some time alone! You give your man the time he needs, but if that douche lord doesn't call you back, he's not worthy of you! I get that sometime you have to take the initiative and call, but I don't see why he doesn't have to do the same!! Both need to act like grown ups and face the music! It's as simple as that life isn't always rainbows and butterflies, sometimes a thunderstorm makes you realize how strong or meaningless of a relationship you are stuck in! In such situations girls just want to be recognized and need some love, a simple phone call, I'm sorry, It won't happen again, I love you... would mean the world! In the end, a sweet and nice gesture would make a girl forget why you even had the fight in the first place!
As I sit here writing this post, I wonder if I'll ever be lucky enough to get the golden treatment! If I'll ever have it all like most us girl want! The answer is NO! It's simple because we have high expectations that's why we get disappointed! And I blame it all on Hollywood! I blame it all on the shitty rom-coms we girls love to watch!! We will never have that instant spark with the music playing in the background with that special someone. You will never find your man calling out your name in the middle of the night, when it's pouring heavily outside with a beautiful bouquet of your favorite flowers shouting out I love you and I'm sorry, just because you had a silly fight on whether you should watch Titanic or The fast and the furious! Snap back to reality! Men don't tend to do romantic things, they do but let's be realistic it's quite rare! So, when your man does the honors, take it with a big smile on your face, you go girl. But, don't come rubbing it on our faces the next day, and gush over how lucky of a girl you are because the next time you come crying over a stupid fight you had with your mister perfect, we might feel slightly just slightly happy from the inside!
If I plan on analyzing how men and women each perceive relationships this post would never come to an end! I'm not even an expert! It's my humble attempt in putting my two cents and what I personally learned from this hard yet interesting road.
